Results from Path Valley 6-22-07
It was an awesome night for racing and the track looked to be in good condition. Alex didn’t make it through his heat but did just make it by finishing 3rd in the consi to start 23 in the feature. Alex got caught in an early spin and counldn’t avoid spinning to miss the other cars. After getting that out of the way he slowly moved his way up through the field until about the half way point when he did a great move into 3 and 4 he went low only to chopped down on bring both cars to a stop he was passing for 13th. When the cars got together Alex in the 59 got up in the air and when he did he came down hard and cut the radiator line and then the 600cc car was done for the night. Alex was awarded with a 16th place finish not what he or the team were looking for.
Now to 1000cc car where Chris the man in charge put a new set up under Kerry this week to see what happens. Kerry came back from the heat and said the car handles the best it did all year. The guys did a gear change and they were ready for the feature. Kerry was holding his ground in 5th until a late caution. Kerry missed a shift or something on the restart and lost 2 spots to finish 7th. Talking points that never really matter to Kerry he has moved into 4th overall in the Sidewinder standings. Alex is far and away the top rookie at Path as for he is regularly the only rookie to make the features every week. Thanks for stopping in more to come.
Off to Path Valley with both cars and unfortunately a new motor in the 600cc car and a newly mapped fuel system in 1000cc car. Chris and the guys worked very hard this week to ready for the night of racing. We got off to a late start due to Mr. WeeBee having to be an installer this week. The bad news came early on this night off racing Alex’s new used engines transmission let go in warm ups. NOT GOOD at all! The 1000cc ran much better. Alex was done for the night. Kerry and the 1000cc did much better gearing was off but the car ran as good as it has all year. With yet another 5th place finish on this night they ran 25 laps instead of 20 and they went all 25 none stop. Ouch that looked like it hurt on a warm night but no complaints out of Kerry when he got of the car. Thanks for stopping by.
