It looked like rain and sprinkled a couple times but it never rained. We
were off to Path Valley again which was Alex’s call since the Sidewinders
have a weekend off before a big three race week. Alex picked Path due to his
strong comeback showing last week.

Alex looked good in his heat on a awesome looking smooth tacky track where everybody was fast! He finished 4th in his heat to make it the fourth race in row straight to the feature event.

Another strong showing of cars. 43 on hand on Friday night. Starting back in the field in 15th with a super strong field of veterans in front of him. Again Alex was the lone rookie in the field.

He quickly started to move front when the green flag dropped. A very fast first 10 laps blew through and we found Alex sitting 12th at half way point. When the green flag dropped it was time to getter done or get passed…Alex went 4 wide entering 1 and 2 and I saw his Dad’s hands to head saying, “No not the middle”…coming down the back stretch were three more cars in Alex’s mirror and one day less of life for Mr. WeeBee.

The race went the distance from there and Alex’s finished in the top 10 his first
time, he finished 9th with another great showing. Great job Alex!

Thanks for stopping by and we’ll have weather permitting 3 races this week. Wed @ Grandview with the Sidewinder at the WoO show. Friday at Path Valley with both cars and Saturday at Trailways with both cars. We’re then spending the rest of the weekend with our families.

Well we were off to Path Valley on a beautiful Friday night in May. Plans are to run both the 1000cc Sidewinder and the 600cc open car. This will be Alex’s first run at this track in his rookie season of 600cc racing

Remember last week in the heat race the 1000cc car the chain broke and broke the clutch cover. Well the new part only showed up Friday and when we went for warm ups we got more bad news we found out that we damaged the clutch so we were basically done for the night before we started.

Alex on the other hand looked good in warm ups so all focus was on the 600 car for Team WeeBee that night. There were 42 cars that entered for 24 starting spots. He finished 5th which got him a spot in the feature later. Kerry made a very smart call on taking the green in the feature because low car count for the night. He basically lined up last took the green and got paid for last and the points for last as well.

Next up Alex in his 3rd straight different track and all 3 he made the feature. He was starting 17th of 24 cars and looking real good in the awesome looking bright pink and purple #59. Alex got a bad start and then had to spin to miss a wreck back in the field. So now he was restarting in 22nd and 5 laps were down. On the restart the guy behind him yes the 23rd placed guy jumped the start and passed him even before the green flag was out. That is what got him started he not only passed that guy on the outside of turn 3 and 4 he worked his way up to 14th in the next 15 laps. Alex did another great job for his first time at yet another track. Next week he finally gets his first chance at repeat run at Path Valley. Who knows maybe we might get a top 10?

Thanks for stopping by and we’ll keep you up date as we can.
